Thank you for your interest in SalvageAutoAuctions.com. This page is designed as a guide to give you help with our process and explain the site's features. Bookmark or print this page and use it as a reference should you have questions along the way. REGISTERING |
Only Registered Members have access to bidding and detailed auction information. To register, simply click on the register button and it will take you to the registration page. The system will ask you to enter a User ID and a password. The User ID will be how the system recognizes you, and with your password, will allow you to browse the auction and place bids. Please write down your User ID and Password -- and remember your alias name when you place bids. Important: please make sure that your email address is correct. |
Please note: Your User ID is different than your alias. When you place bids, the system will ask you for an alias name. Your alias will be different every time you place a bid. |
Once your done entering in your information on the registration page, hit the submit button and you will receive an email confirming your registration. You will then have access to use all the site's features and place bids. All personal information can only be viewed by you and will be kept secure by SalvageAutoAuctions.com. |
THE AUCTION |
The cars on auction are organized by location and per seller. Simply click on a region or view all locations and then go the desired area to view the cars. You can also Search for a make or model of a car by going the Search Page. If you place a Search, the system will bring up all cars in any location that match your search. |
Once you go to your desired auction location, you will see the Auction Listings. There, you will see thumbnail images of the cars and specific car and bidding information. If you wish, you can disable the thumbnail images to browse through the auction with less download time. |
At the bottom of each page are blue arrows. By clicking on an arrow you can view more cars available in that auction location. Once you find a car that you want to bid on, or wish to get more detailed information on a car, click on the thumbnail image and you will be taken to the Logon Page. Enter your User ID and Password and then you will go to the Detailed Auction Page. |
In this section are larger images and multiple photos so that you can see different angles of the cars. If there are any bids on the car, you can see the bid history and current bid amount at the bottom of the page. Also, you will find comments, accepted payment methods, and Terms of Sale. | |
BUYERS SECTION |
The seller, not SalvageAutoAuctions.com, is responsible providing any guarantee or warranty, and all comments, auction details, Terms of Sale, Terms & Conditions, payment methods and all other descriptions. SalvageAutoAuctions.com does not guarantee or warranty any vehicle listed on the site, or any information related to the vehicle.We are not responsible for transporting vehicles auctioned on SalvageAutoAuctions.com. All sales are subject to the terms and conditions by the seller. After reading and accepting the Terms & Conditions before each bid, the buyer is agreeing to the Terms & Conditions and all details as to the information provided by the seller as listed in SalvageAutoAuctions.com. |
The winning bidder is obligated by law to provide payment for the vehicle. All other conditions can be found in the Terms of Sale and Terms & Conditions for each auction vehicle. |
BIDDING |
To make a bid, click on the "bid now" button. You will be prompted to accept the sellers Terms and Conditions. Read the Terms and Conditions before going on. After you accept the Terms and Conditions, your registration information will appear on the screen. Enter an Alias name and a bid amount. The system will not allow you to enter a bid less than the minimum bid amount, which is the last bid or current bid plus the bid increment. When you're done, click the "bid now" button. The next page allows you to make sure your information is correct. If it is, click "bid now" again and you're done. You will receive a Bid Confirmation Email. (If you don't receive this email, please contact us.) |
RANGE BIDDING |
SalvageAutoAuctions.com has implemented this special feature for your convenience. You can have our system automatically place bids for you for each auction where you specify a bid range. Say there is a car you want to buy and the minimum bid is at $1000 and you are willing to pay $3000 for the car. At the time you place your bid, you will see a field where you can enter a bid range. Simply enter the minimum bid (in this case - $1000) and then enter your maximum range ($3000). SalvageAutoAuctions.com will continuously bid for you, up to $3000, every time another bid is placed on that auction. So, if another bidder places a bid for $1200, our system will automatically bid for you in $50.00 increments, and the new high bid will be yours at $1250. You don't have to do anything! You will also be notified via email if the auction goes over your range. |
Reserve Price |
If an auction has a reserve price on it, you will see a little box with an "R" in it next to the vehicle information. At the top of the auction details page you can see if the reserve has been met or not. This is located above the photo in red letters. |
BIDS LISTING |
This feature allows you to view all of your current bids outstanding. |
OVERBID ALERT |
If another user places a higher bid on the same car as you, you will receive an Overbid Alert Email. In the email is the auction information, your bid amount, and a link that will take you directly to the Logon Page. After you enter your User ID and Password, the system will take you to the same car so you can quickly place another bid. It's that simple. |
BUYER ADMINISTRATION |
You can easily update your registration information or change your password by going to buyer administration. This will help ensure that we have all your current information in order to keep you updated with the latest from SalvageAutoAuctions.com. |
RESTRICTED BUYERS |
By law, some auctions are restricted only to licensed dealers. Upon seller approval and proof of license, any approved licensed dealer will have full access to all auctions. Our system can recognize your buying status and allow access to those auctions flagged for dealers only. |
SEARCH AND CAR FINDER |
SalvageAutoAuctions.com has several ways to find the car you are looking for. You can search for a vehicle using a variety of search criteria. The found vehicles will be listed on your screen with links to each match taking you to that auction. |
If you do not find the car you are looking for it could mean that the type of you want is not in our auctions. By going to our Car Finder area, you can put a car wanted in the system, (based on the criteria you specify) and when that particular car is entered into the system, you will be notified via email that a match is found. There is no time limit to use this feature. |
CONTACTING THE SELLER |
We have given the buyer the ability to contact the seller with any questions regarding an auction. At the top of each auction page is an envelope button next to the words, "Contact the Seller". Simply click on the link and type your message in the text box. Hit submit and the seller will receive the message and will contact you directly with a response to your email. | |

AUCTION RULES AND TERMS |
The length of each auction can be no longer than 30 days. The "NEW" button will flash for seven days from the start date, and the "Closing Soon" button will appear seven days from the end date. When adding an auction, please note the auction start date must be within two weeks of the current date. The "Coming Soon" button will appear after the auction is entered. (Our system will not accept an auction start date after two weeks from the current date.) |
The seller must provide SavageAuto.com all information for each vehicle including: Terms of Sale, Terms & Conditions, comments, auction details, payment methods and all other descriptions as related to each auction. |
Seller is obligated to sell the vehicle to the winning bidder if a Reserve Price is not specified, or when the winning bid is equal to or greater than the Reserve Price - provided all Terms & Conditions are met and provided full disclosure as to the sellers "right not to sell to the winning bidder" as stated in sellers Terms and Conditions in SalvageAutoAuctions.com. |
All other seller agreements can be found in the first paragraph under the heading "Sellers Section". |
RESTRICTED SALES |
SalvageAutoAuctions.com can provide sellers the ability to allow only licensed dealers to bid in the auction. All other users will not be able to access such auctions. Our system can recognize weather a user has full or restricted access to each auction. |
SETTING UP BILLING ACCOUNTS |
Only the seller can approve the buyer. SalvageAutoAuctions.com can facilitate the buyer/seller relationship; however, SalvageAutoAuctions.com does not offer any guarantees for any buyer or the account status for any buyer. |

ADDING AN AUCTION |
We've made adding an auction to SalvageAutoAuctions.com a snap. By going to the "Add An Auction" utility, you can enter all the information about your vehicle, including:
